Joint Ventures

studio 2G knows the importance of a great team. Since we are a small business, collaborating with other firms can be a powerful way to expand the services we are able to provide our clients. Through these joint ventures, studio 2G aims to leverage diverse perspectives, enhance capabilities, and foster a synergistic approach to deliver innovative and comprehensive solutions to clients. This collaborative model allows the firm to undertake a wide range of projects, tapping into the collective strengths of each participating entity and promoting a dynamic and adaptable working environment. The emphasis on teamwork and shared goals in these joint ventures enables Studio 2G to navigate complex challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes that reflect the combined expertise of the partnering firms.

See below for our active joint ventures.

DLR Group

studio 2G and DLR Group initiated our collaboration in 2018 when we secured two General Service Administration’s Region 9 Indefinite Design Indefinite Quality Contracts. Since then, our professional relationship has prospered significantly. Notably, DLR Group has assumed the role of the official mentor to studio 2G through the Small Business Association Mentor-Protege Program. To deepen our collaboration, the two firms formalized their partnership by establishing a Joint Venture. To learn more about DLR Group and the Joint Venture, click the link below.

FTF Structural Engineering

For the past 15 years, studio 2G has maintained a collaborative partnership with FTF, initially sparked when one of FTF's lead engineers shared office space with us. This connection deepened as they joined FTF, solidifying our enduring Architect-Structural Engineer relationship. Our collaboration spans two decades, encompassing a variety of projects across the Federal, Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality sectors. Acknowledging the success of our partnership, we have strategically decided to strengthen it further by establishing a Joint Venture.

“With servant-leaders like Heidi Gibson and Laura Gough at the helm, the firm is an extremely capable project partner, whether they are assuming a project leadership role or in a support role on a DLR Group project. Our entire federal team looks forward to many more years of successful collaboration with studio 2G Architects as we continue to provide value to our federal clients, to our warfighters, and to our military veterans.”
