  • Full Job Description: 

    We are seeking a full time Arch Associate II , with at least three years of experience and a professional degree in Architecture. 

    The Arch Associate II independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.

    Overall, the associate role provides support to architects and job captains in preparation of schematic design, design development, construction documents and drafting details, and will handle mark-ups to drawings as well as developing 3D renderings.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture 

    • Knowledge of Vectorworks, InDesign, Revit and TwinMotion (Preferred) 

    • Eligibility to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

    Key Duties and Details

    • Develops a Schematic Design Package, from an approved design with keynotes, dimensions, etc. for Planning Approval with no support from a Job Captain.

    • Understands  the basics of BIM and CAD software, preferably VectorWorks and Revit, and can work efficiently in the program. Can present new techniques/tools to the office during meetings.

    • Understands the four phases (PD, SD, DD & CD) of a project enough to organize a drawing package without the support from a Job Captain.

    • Develops ADA sheets without the support of a Job Captain, understands the ADA Code or where to find information about it

    • Has a good understanding of the Building Code. Can develop a Code Analysis with support from a Job Captain or Architect.

    • Basic coordination with Project Consultants. 

    • Supports Job Captains, Project Managers, Architects with markups, and rendering tasks.

    • Starts to develop packages independently - a move away from mark ups, etc.

    • Performing analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts. 

    • Helps in preparing project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data. 

    • Based on your skills / interests you will be assigned an additional office role to perform when there is a gap in billable client work. These roles help improve office resources and efficiency, such as CAD Manager, Detail Library Leader, 2030 Challenge Champion

    • We expect that 90% of your working time is spent on billable client hours

    Job Type 

    Full-Time (40 hours per week); Alternative work schedules available 

    Pay Range 

    Approximately $25-$28 Depending on Experience with the option to reassess after a probationary period (90-days).

  • We value the power of mentorship + work experience and offer part-time internships to students who are able to commit to the following:

    • Work with us initially on a 3 - 6 month formal internship (co-op) program through your school which will require you to work a min. of 22 hours/week.

    • After your formal internship with your school, we will require another year of working with the firm part-time. This part-time commitment will be a min. of 12 hours/week which will possibly happen while still attending school.

    • A minimum of 15 months with studio 2G.
