GSA Historical Courthouse Fencing
The scope of this project involved refurbishing the perimeter fencing of a historic courthouse in San Francisco. Although this courthouse is no longer accessible to the public, the city recognizes the significance of preserving the dignity of this memorable structure. The original fencing comprised an aged chain-link fence with noticeable gaps. The new fence was carefully designed to maintain the visual dignity of the building. Its sleek and thoughtfully crafted design ensured that it seamlessly integrated with the historical character of the existing structure, including the preservation of exterior features such as the historic large planters.

Historical
The addition of a security fence to the Historical Courthouse was approached with meticulous care to preserve its historical significance. Special attention was given to the planters in front of the building, considering their historical importance. The challenge was to enhance security without compromising the public sidewalk right of way or the building's historic value. The solution involved designing a secure fence that respected the historical planters and maintained a distance from the building, ensuring the structure's integrity remained intact.

Security
The installation of the new fencing represents a significant security upgrade from the less structural existing chain-link fence. This enhancement is designed to provide a more robust and effective security barrier for the Historical Courthouse. The inclusion of secure gates in the fencing ensures controlled access, allowing authorized personnel to enter the area as needed. This strategic combination of improved fencing and controlled access points demonstrates a comprehensive approach to bolstering security measures while maintaining functionality for authorized individuals within the historical site.
