Zixuan Hu

arch associate

Zixuan grew up in Shanghai, China until the age of 14, when her family made the move all the way to Mountain View, California. After highschool, Zixuan attended Syracuse University in New York where she received a Bachelor of Architecture in 2024.

Zixuan admits that her reason for going into Architecture was less than romantic, as her proficiency in math, art, and physics naturally guided her towards the field. However, her initial choice soon blossomed into a love of the profession, finding the built environment and detail in manmade structures to be fascinating.

Looking forward, Zixuan dreams of one day starting her own firm specializing in senior living facilities, hoping to create dignified and comfortable living environments for the elderly. In the meantime, however, she plans to continue learning tennis and Japanese, working towards her license, and tending to her dragon fruit plant with the hopes of a fruitful harvest in 2025!

In her free time, Zixuan enjoys playing badminton and being artistic through a variety of means such as painting, drawing, and cross stitching. Her perfect day consists of waking up naturally then heading out to an indoor museum away from the heat. For lunch, she would indulge in food truck tacos before enjoying a long nap followed by a game of badminton. To end the night, she would water her plants, read, and cross stitch a new pattern.
